Guys, I wanna know if Walgreens have unpaid internship as intern pharmacist. I am now work as volunteer and the place that I work in just got sold to Walgreens. I wanna know if the new company will pay me or not. I asked my supervisor but he was not sure. I tried to contact some Walgreen's people but no response yet. I think it is still pretty early because we will transfer in 4 months. I did the drug test for employment today for walgreens.

They pay you. Nothing is unpaid at WAGS. However, if I were you, I wouldn't work for them. Worse than CVS now in terms of cutting tech hours, RPh hours, bc of all this ESI nonsense and no longer accepting them.

WAGS effed up. Do they still fill Rx's or are RPh's just responsible for doing transfers now?

OP you should work for Walgreen's if you have a chance. It sounds to me like you've basically been handed a job as an intern there. Go to a Walgreens and ask for the district manager's number. Try talking to that person.

I Have to accept any offer they make. You know as an intern it is kind of hard to find a place to get my hours.

I do not know if they will give me an intern job. As I said they just bought the pharmacy that I am volunteerly unpaid intern. So I am just worry about what would happen to me.

currently, they more or less have a nationwide hiring freeze for interns. i would speak with district manager or else your job as an unpaid intern is probably terminated

Do they know that you are unpaid? If you just simply say "I am the pharmacy intern" and not "I am the volunteer intern" they might just keep you on.

I did not said that I am a volunteer. I just said that I am intern.
