Any updates about a possible Walgreens (rph, techs, clerks, front end) strike in SF?

Employees are unions there. I imagine if there is a strike, it would wind up pretty bad for pharmacist because of the saturation.

How will this work, will there be like two pharmacists holding up signs outside the store? They'd look pretty silly compared to hundreds of nurses outside a hospital.

how much are they paying for strike replacements? 😏

WAG is a tough employer. They didn't give in to union demands. Good luck @ anyone working for them.

Old news... It's Still No Deal for Walgreens, Pharmacists, but Many Are Returning to Work

Student loans and mortgages make no one wants to strike anymore. Bills yo...
they broke the pharmacist union in Chicago when I had recently graduated - and that is when pharmacists truly had leverage (2004 -05) - that was our chance to actually make a difference, and we sold out for the almighty dollar.

This is so sad. Pharmacist are the weakest "profession" in the history of professions. It's not even news, no one cares, Walgreens is literally laughing at all of us. I wouldn't be surprised if not only they find replacement workers, but they found replacement workers for cheaper than their employees (which never happens, my sister is a nurse and went to SF for a strike, being paid $75 an hour).

I sincerely hope this is a wake-up call to some. It's probably not though, but your profession is under siege, and you're using unsharpened pencils to fight with. Good luck.

Pharmacist strike is about as likely to happen as provider status. I think the chances of winning a multi-state lottery are more likely than a pharmacist strike or provider status.

How about a strike in front of ACPE to end accreditation of new schools?

Can’t imagine anyone who has a job in SF risking it for a strike... half of my class was from Sf and couldn’t find jobs in that area. I am sure many of them would be interested
