who would you like to work for? walgreens vs. safeway
walgreens: drive-through, immunization, busy as hell, understaffed
safeway: outdated computer system, immunization, secret shoppers, understaffed
I know both are suck as a retail business model. I hate working as a retail pharmacist, but I don't have other choices. I need your advice which one I should pick as a new grad pharmacist (someone who may be slow at the beginning).
oh, gosh, I don't feel like I am ready to work because I am still not feeling comfortable to take verbal prescription orders. I don't have much retail work experiences.

You are not alone in the way you feel about things. I'm not giving up hope in finding a career in another type of pharmacy.

safeway...this is not even a choice. AT walgreens, you will be stressed...overworked..understaffed.

Safeway. The little boxes are having the life squeezed out of them by shrinking margins. They all have high turnover from burning out their pharmacists. The best pharmacists are leaving them in droves.
