It depends on your particular store and scheduler. As I understand it, scheduling has been removed from the pharmacy and is handled by a central person somewhere else. For example, the South Texas schedule is handled by someone in Arizona or Colorado (I forget which). Some pharmacists are able to work just weekends (10 hours on Saturday 9-7, 8 on Sunday, 10-6), otherwise their typical week day schedule is about 10 hours a day.
We've had some pharmacists get decent schedules, while our PIC has worked 12 days in a row. The biggest thing is ensuring you have coverage for weekends, so no one has to work two in a row, etc.
At one point, we had three dedicated pharmacists working at our store, with the occasional floater. They each worked M-F, 8-10 hours a day, and worked every third weekend.
Hope that helps.
