One of my good friends has a phone interview coming up with Wal-mart does anyone have any tips or suggestions for what to prepare for?

Well if it was for janitor I don't think come to the pharmacy forum on Student doctor net 😛 lol but its for a pharmacist position.

Negotiation of starting salary is almost non existant with the big chains nowadays... Time off however, is certainly open. Negotiation for PTO or other perks that do not directly cost money.

Make sure to ask questions about support staff (how much will be there) and lunch breaks (some allow for it, others don't).

After spending my IPPE at a walmart, there is no way I could work there... But to each their own.

I have to agree with just about everything here. I was with WAG for nearly 10 years (as tech, intern, RPh) until they started their POWER crap last year. I started with WM last year, sucks just as bad as WAG did there at the end. My salary is above average bc this store is in the middle of nowhere so I have a commute (which is making my life hell BTW, plus RXM bonuses are monsters compared to other retailers. I negotiated 3 weeks vaca/PTO from day one. I acutally get a lunch here and there is more help at WM, but can't say it is quality help. Pretty weak if you ask me, including most staff RPhs. WM has some perks but so do the others. You mind if I ask you where you are at? I would love to look into other options.
