Undergrad Attended: small, private, liberal arts college
Major: Cellular and Molecular Biology

Shadowing Experience: 150 hrs (100 hrs paid dental assisting + 50 hrs shadowing a general dentist)
Volunteering Experience: 250 hrs dental assisting at free health clinic (do I include this in shadowing experience too?) + 20 hrs providing dental hygiene education to elementary school students
Employment: 400 hrs organic chemistry peer tutor + 64 hrs biology lab TA + 64 hrs COVID office student worker ... etc.
Research: 400 hrs immunological research, presenting next semester
Other Extracurriculars: VP of pre-health student club in college, have eboard positions in various other clubs, lots of artistic interests (crochet/knit/sewing, painting, calligraphy)
Have you volunteered/shadowed/attended events at any dental schools? no :/
Relevant Honors or Awards: Dean's List
LOR type and strength: 2 bio profs (1 will be very strong b/c she's my research mentor) + 1 chem prof (very strong) + looking for a non-stem prof (have some options)
Misc Info/Things not stated elsewhere/Red Flags:
doing study abroad next semester. planning to graduate a semester early. applying straight out of undergrad.

I want to narrow my list down to ~10 schools. Also, any advice or critiques would be greatly appreciated! Thanks sm

Yup! That’s why I want to narrow them down to ~10 like I said and still have a few reaches. Also thanks, I’ll get more shadowing experience then.

well the texas schools are prob the furthest reaches...

you need to look into your mission fit at these schools, especially the ones that are further away
