a postbacc is not a grad gpa...

As a reapplicant, where did you apply, and where did you interview (with what decision)?

Did you grow up in rural Oregon?

Have you done any community service, especially since you moved to Philadelphia in your postbac program? Your 60 hours of working with a Montana fire department is not much to show a penchant for serving a community. All your other hours are dental-related it appears.

Have you retaken biochemistry and anatomy? What were those grades?

I applied to Temple, A.T. Still, Tufts, Texas A&M, Colorado, Midwestern AZ, Creighton, UPenn, UNE, Utah, Roseman, OHSU, Minnesota, Loma Linda, and UNLV last cycle.

I only received a KIRA for Roseman, and there were no other interview invitations.

I grew up outside of Portland, Oregon, in a town of 25,000.

The only community service I have completed since moving to Philadelphia is dental-related.

I will be retaking Biochemistry next semester. However, I am not planning on retaking the anatomy lab, as it is a lab and cannot be completed online.

Thank you.

My dx: No one picked you up for an interview (you haven't shown me you can handle a 3-year curriculum so Roseman just wanted you to finish your profile for their screen apparently), including your in-state of OHSU, so that's telling me your basic metrics need improvement.

I would have waited to reapply until you addressed the DAT and the biochem class (finish your postbac year). If you are currently doing postbac/SMP work at Temple, I would want to see your grades from your first term there (since you need to show academic preparation). Let's hope you can nail the DAT before you are done with your first semester (?).

In my first semester while attending the Temple Post baccalaureate, I received a 3.77 GPA while taking 13 credits.

Thank you.

did you mark on aadsas that you are retaking DAT?
come back with dat retake scores and we can tell you more...

What feedback did your program faculty give you?
The dental and program faculty have stated that I need to improve my DAT to be competitive among all applicants. I have been told that my other requirements are more than sufficient.

Thank you.
