Hello! I looked at schools that were OOS friendly, I made sure I fit the 5-95, and I looked at mission fit as well. basically schools I thought I might have a chance at
did you check if the schools were texas friendly?

what is your dental mission?

what is your dental mission?
mainly education and helping out vulnerable populations (I might want to specialize into pediatrics). I have an organization that teaches children about the importance of oral healthcare so I got to work with children and I loved educating them. also my time as a tutor helped me realize my love for helping others thru education

not really :( i think i wanted to and then forgot. i did cross off some schools that were not south friendly
ok
your list is super long, so hopefully you will be ok
plus you have tons of privates and no huge reaches
your gpa is pretty low for the texas schools, as i am sure you are aware
your DATs are good, so it may help your oos chances

yes i really wanted to stay in texas but I'm mentally prepared/expecting to not get in bc of my gpa.
thank u so much for the reassurance and feedback; I sure do hope a school bites! i applied early so HOPEFULLY that helps

List is long, but you likely need it given gpa. You applied to almost all the “TX friendly” schools I can think of besides LECOM.
okay thats great then! I didnt do LECOM bc i saw their 5-95 was not fitting with me.

question: do u think my dat is good for my gpa or should it have been higher :/
higher is always better, but if you're asking if you need to retake or if you shouldn't have applied, don't no- your dat is ok

Science GPA trends by year?
my aadsas application doesnt give me a breakdown of that so here is my hand-calulcated values. also, I am a rising senior

NOTE: before applying, I calculated my science gpa several times to be a 3.04 but aadsas calculated my science gpa to be a 3.14 so I'm assuming I took some "science" courses that aadsas somehow calculated to be science. for these hand calculations, I'm just including what I know to be science and not including whatever extra classes aadsas used in calculations so I guess my "real" science gpa by year is maybe a little higher.

freshman: 3.25 (dual credit classes)
sophomore --> from here on out its my actual college undergrad classes 2.53 (yikes)
junior: 2.86
senior: 3.54

for my overalls (what aadsas gave me)
freshman: 3.26
sophomore: 3.07
junior: 3.29
senior: 3.64

Is there a way to check the gpa calculated by aadsas?

yes, after you submit and your application becomes verified, go to the far right section at the top labeled "Check Status" and then select any school you want and download your application PDF. Near the bottom will be 1-3 pages worth of calculated GPA's. The GPA's you want to see are your overall and science gpas, these are what the school will most likely place the greatest emphasis on. You can also get a look at your gpa with/without +/- grades too.
