Applying to CA schools as a nonresident for the simple reason that I would prefer to go to school on the East/West coasts. Why are you applying to CA schools since you are a Ohio resident ? UC Riverside admitted zero non residents last year and UC Davis only one.
Here is a more realistic school list:
Case Western
Ohio State
Cincinnati
NEOMED
Toledo
Wright State
West Virginia
U Michigan
Western Michigan
Indiana
Pittsburgh
Jefferson
Rochester
Vermont
Hofstra
Mount Sinai
Einstein
George Washington
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
USF Morsani
Miami
TCU-UNT
Washington University
