Date of submission: mid/late June
Overall GPA: 3.91
Science GPA: 3.85
Bio-Chem-Physics GPA: 3.82
DAT score (include AA and all sections): taking in 2 weeks but sitting around a 21 AA and 20 PAT on bootcamp
State of Residence: Ohio

Undergrad Attended: Ohio State
Major: Biology
Minor: Anthropology + Architecture
Minority? No
Reapplicant? No
Nontrad? No

Shadowing Experience: >100
Volunteering Experience: about 100, food pantry and tutoring/mentoring
Employment: about 1250 in food service, about 100 in dental office
Research: 90, dental anthropology (comparative enamel chipping + wear study in primates), not yet published
Other Extracurriculars: genchem lab ta, academic chair of my sorority, vice president of a service club that sends tutors to underprivileged youth in the area, somewhat involved with volunteers around the world, peer mentor for genchem students, ochem students, and first-year honors students (advancing education is a passion of mine)
Relevant Honors or Awards: dean's list every semester, a few scholarships, on a small merit scholarship
LOR type and strength: general chemistry senior lecturer, dental anthropology professor + research advisor, dentist that I shadowed/work under for >200 hours, studio architecture professor (I was top of the class in model making)
Misc Info/Things not stated elsewhere/Red Flags: I really want to go out of state because I have some trauma associated with where I am and I have health conditions that make winter pretty terrible for me so I will be living somewhere warm when I am practicing regardless. I know that it's a lot harder to get into out-of-state schools so I have really given my all to be a competitive applicant. I'm debating postponing my DAT for a higher score as well because my shadowing + volunteering are very average. UCLA and UCSF are probably my dream schools - WAMC

School list:
Buffalo
Ohio State
Texas A&M
Texas Houston
Indiana
Michigan
Colorado
UCLA
UCSF
Florida
LSU
Harvard
Rutgers
Stony Brook
UCONN
UNC
Alabama
let us know your dat, it's tough to say without it
half of your schools are REALLY difficult to get in OOS, so it's gonna be a tough road even with a good dat score...

that is why im stressing :/ should I postpone my DAT to study more? I'm averaging 23 QR, 23 reading, 21 ochem, 20 genchem, and 20 bio, I've barely studied bio so far though so I could definitely get that one up, same with genchem

I'm sorry to hear. It makes no sense as a result to list Ohio State since you'll still be on campus.

With a strong DAT, you could go for both Kentucky schools. I would forego Texas. There's always Case if you still wanted to stay in a different part of Ohio.

For warmer weather, LECOM. Not a lot of options with private schools in the South. AZDOH perhaps but you really need to consider mission.

Edit: prioritizing cost of tuition for the most part and tried to do 2 safety, 12 middle, + 3 reach

I would definitely move back the DAT if you’re not feeling confident right now. The schools you listed seems to all favor high stats. I think it’s much better to apply later with high scores.
