This might seem very overkill to apply this cycle, given the terrible stats that I have. I am currently on my second gap year. I would like to apply and get into any DO school in the nation. I have one more MCAT attempt left and I plan on retaking if my score is too low. I was suggested by an instructor to take an SMP and to take the MCAT and get a 504-506 range. I'm not sure what to do, as if I don't do well in the SMP, I can essentially get banned for DO schools for good. I also am not sure if I can afford two years of tuition to raise my GPA. I really want to apply and get in this cycle in any DO school but if I take the MCAT in September (I have been studying) to raise up my MCAT to a 503. Would it at all be possible for me to have an admission?

Are you saying you have already taken the MCAT 6 times with your highest score 488?

I haven’t taken it 6 times. It was my first attempt. Sorry it’s a typo! I meant before applying for this cycle
