GPA: 3.6 cGPA/3.4 sGPA
MCAT: TBD but aiming for 515+
Interested in MD and DO, possibly MD-PhD
Would like to know if I should take a gap year or just apply this cycle.

Extracurriculars:
Clinical:
2000 clinical hours as pathology lab assistant in a hospital (with patient interaction)
100 hrs clinical volunteering in patient transport at a cancer center
100 hrs clinical volunteering in pharmacy and ED at a community hospital
80 hours shadowing two specialties (IM and vascular surgery/hyperbaric medicine)

Research:
300 hours as an undergrad research assistant in an auditory lab
2 poster presentations

Leadership:
~50 hours for a semester as a gen chem II peer tutor/TA
3 leadership positions in marketing/media:
- two are in a research student org/student research journal
- one was in a pre-health organization that did competitions at regional/state level as well as philanthropy

Others:
non-clinical volunteering at a farm (just started)
submission in a health humanities journal (IP)
hobbies include photography, writing, reading (goes along with leadership positions)

Why would you want MD/PhD? If you're serious about MD/PhD, I would suggest a research year given what you have described for research. You should definitely take a year to compile more community service/service orientation experience.

No lists without an official MCAT.
