6. Clinical Experience (volunteer/non-volunteer): Hospital volunteer - 300hrs current, 70hrs volunteering in underserved community in South LA
7. Non-clinical volunteering: 100hrs ESL tutoring refugees (300hrs total on SOS board), 50hrs mentoring high school students in underserved communities about college and career options, 15hrs as College Day mentor, 10-15hrs as a Unified/Special Olympics partner
8. Shadowing: 70hrs - Orthopedic Oncology
9. Research: 650hrs completed, 1 poster presentation, 1000hrs expected by matriculation
10. Other activities/work/etc: 170hrs as a student tutor at community college
11. Honors/Awards: Chancellor’s Service Award, Latin Honors, Dean’s List
12. Hobbies: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (100hrs, probably 400-500 by matriculation), Soccer, Basketball (team manager)

44 schools is too many to apply to. You could remove some of the reaches such as Harvard, Cornell, Northwestern, Stanford. Also some of the state public schools that accept few non residents with no connection to the state such as Rutgers, UMass, SUNY Upstate.

In regard to the remaining schools on the list, do you think they’re a good bunch and do I have a decent chance at interviews, or should I remove any others that I wouldn’t have high chances to? Thanks once again.
