Greeting Everyone!! I am stuck between applying this cycle or trying to improve my GPA via SMP or maybe any other methods if someone could make a recommendation:
School: NJIT
cGPA: 3.35
sGPA: 3.23
MCAT 507
When I transferred to NJIT I had done very poorly beforehand and due to lack of grade replacement for DO, these are my scores with averaging the poor classes (dropping from 3.5 range to these now)
EC:
5 months neuro research (PUB within grasp of senior year spring semester)
150 hours shadowing (DO surgeon, interest MD)
200 hours nonclinical volunteering (soup kitchen, handing out packages to homeless)
70 hours hospital volunteering (scribe this summer)
Certified Nurse Assistant
LOR:
From professor for academic tenacity
From head of where I volunteered for charisma/positive traits
From DO for compatibility to medical field
If there are schools (DO mostly) that I have a good chance at please let me know! and if my chances are very poor , I'd love some advice on how to increase my chances! Thank you!!!!
