~ 2000 hrs as PCA for individuals with disabilities
~ 250 hours as skills trainer (playing guitar for individuals with disabilities)
~ 100 hours working at Detox facility
PROJECTED: 2000 hours as scribe
  1. Research experience and productivity:
~250 hours as clinical research intern at pharmaceutical company
  1. Shadowing experience and specialties represented
10 hours at GI
40 at Ophthalmology
PROJECTED 50 at various specialties
  1. Non-clinical volunteering
50 + 50 projected as religious education teacher
50 as coordinator in fundraising to renovate our schools weight room (recieved 200k)
100 at local elementary school with after school activities
50 at local hospital
200 as Youth Coordinator at my church
  1. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc)
Treasurer for global brigades (somewhat medicine related)

Rush and Loyola looking for far more non clinical hours than you have. You also have several state public schools on your list that admit few non residents with your stats and no connection to the state. I suggest these schools from your list:

You don't need to project 4000 scribe hours. What support do you have from your prehealth advisors?
I believe I only projected 2000 scribe hours which I was under the impression would be a full time jobs worth of hours. Would you advise against including that?

Thank you! Would it be hard for University of Illinois? The OOS accepted students median seem similar to mine according to MSAR.

Would it be worthwhile to apply to Hackensack? I feel as though my stats do not match up to the accepted applicants.

I understand the confusion, I only listed it once on my actual application but wanted to include it in the question because it mentioned gap year activities. My apologies.

No, I see you have it listed twice so just clarifying.
