Hi all, looking for some advice after I got my retake score back this morning. I retook my 509 (bad idea, I know) and got a 506 so really looking for help to make a strong school list. I already submitted my primary for AMCAS and AACOMAS, just waiting verification.
GPA:
cGPA: 3.8 | sGPA: 3.75
MCAT:
509: (128/127/128/126)
506: (125/128/124/129)
State of Residence:
NJ, ORM
Undergraduate:
Small, private school not in NJ
Clinical Experience:
~200 hours patient care coordinator/MA at clinic
~350 hours CNA
Research Experience:
~700 hours across 3 labs
Shadowing:
~100 hours (cardiology, emergency med, plastic surgery)
Non-Clinical:
~ 50 hours ESL volunteer tutor
~ 175 hours intern for domestic violence organization
~ 200 hours community engagement coordinator for my mom's yoga clinic
Teaching:
~ 150 hours TA
~ 70 hours mentor
Other EC's:
~ 700 hours as founder and president of student org (club won a recognition award)
~ 100 hours single engine flight training
Honors/Awards:
~ already mentioned above, but award for oral presentation at a conference
School List:
Would love to come back to the northeast so schools are mainly focused there, but open to any schools I would be a good fit for.
