Hello! I am re-applicant (last applied for EY2021 cycle) and was wondering if I could receive some help in cutting down my school list. For the DO schools especially, I wasn’t sure if I should take some out or if other ones would be better to add in. I was aiming to apply to around 35 schools and was wondering also if there was input on how many of them should be DO vs. MD. Thank you so much!

OOS MD schools do not tend to interview TX residents since they historically have stayed in state. The only AMCAS schools I would recommend are Tulane, TCU and Loma Linda (if your religious beliefs align).

For DO, you are competitive for all of them. Apply to the TMDAS ones as well as:

UIWSOM
AZCOM (high tuition FYI)
LECOM
PCOM
DMU
Marian
Campbell
WCU
Touro NV
Touro CA
Touro NY
NYITCOM
KCOM
