Hi! I'm applying to medical schools this cycle and I wanted some help on my school list. Please let me know if you have any questions!
  1. cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS or AACOMAS: cGPA – 3.97 sGPA – 3.95

  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): Medical Office Assistant (240 hours, non-volunteer); Addiction Treatment + Harm Reduction intern (156 hours, volunteer), volunteer at local hospital (200 hours, volunteer), medical mission trip in Honduras (60 hours)
  7. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: Shadowed orthopedics and ENT (24 hours, planning on more this summer while applying)
  8. Non-clinical volunteering: ran youth education programming in urban community (156 hours), Student program coordinator for Center for Community Outreach (200 hours), Camp Counselor for 3 summers (414 hours)
  9. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc): Events Director for Center for Community Outreach (400 hours, non-volunteer), Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Biology Department (2 semesters), Freelance Math Tutor, Public Relations Director for South Asian Student Association (256 hours)

@tinkrebell6 how did you put together your list?
As a TX resident it makes sense to include all the TMDSAS schools. The TMDSAS application is separate from AMCAS but it’s one price to submit to all its schools.
I wasn't sure about submitting to all of the Texas schools, because my MCAT score is below their median scores, but it does make sense to apply to all of them.

You are in the range for all of them and the average accepted TMDSAS applicant has an MCAT of 511.5
