Hi everyone! I could really use some help with a school list. I don't have any research experience and have had no luck finding any opportunities. That's what I'm most worried about and I don't really know how to make a school list around it. I applied to a small amount of schools last year and I'm on the waitlist for one of them, I've bolded what's new on my application this time around.
- cGPA is 3.86 and sGPA is 3.79
- MCAT score is 508 and the breakdown is 127/127/126/128
- OR resident
- Ukrainian female (immigrant)
- Undergrad from Oregon State
- Clinical experience: 3 MA jobs (one private where I was a lead MA, one at a FQHC refugee clinic, and one at a dermatology clinic with scribing) about 2500 hours, hospital volunteering in pediatric hem/onc unit 36 hours so far
- No research experience
- 32 hours of shadowing, two family med physicians, one endocrinologist, and one gastroenterologist
- Non-clinical volunteering: adult literacy volunteer: 27 hours, food pantry volunteer: 76 hours, church volunteer 40 hours (20 hours new from food pantry)
- New role as a mental health youth committee leader, work experience as a nanny 550 hours, shoe store team lead 1800, and barista 450 hours
- Currently in my gap year and reapplying
