MD WAMC/School List help. GPA: 3.88, MCAT: 519

Hi guys,

I would like to get some help for the school list and any advice to improve the application.

Background: Asian male (US Citizen)
State of Residence: GA
School: Top 30
GPA: 3.88
MCAT: 519 (131/127/130/131)

Research Background:
1) Two peer-reviewed articles publications. The first author in the mid-impact journal and the second author in the mid-high impact journal.
2) 4 poster presentations at conferences. 3 poster presentations at national-level conferences as the first author and 1 poster presentation at a regional-level conference as the second author.

Clinical Volunteer:
1) Volunteered in Emergency Department for 3 yrs(~250 hrs)
2) Volunteered in hospice for 1.5 yrs (~100 hrs)
3) Shadowing (~50 hrs)

Non-clinical Volunteer:
1) Soup kitchen for a year (~100 hrs)
2) Went to Swaziland & South Africa and helped orphanages for a month. (35 days)
3) Fundraised for refugees a year in a school club.



I do not have any leadership roles and many club activities as other people do.

Please help me with the school list!
Also, do you guys have any advice to improve my application??

Apply to Medical College Georgia, Mercer and Emory. Then add any OOS schools that appeal to you.

Why don't you make a list of 15-20 schools and we can help you add and remove schools? Take a look at MSAR and find some schools that match up with your stats.
