cGPA: 3.54, sGPA 3.67 (bad freshman gpa due to personal reason-explained in PS, strong upward trend, engineering major)
texas resident, orm (asian)
clinical exp: 700h employment as a pediatric medical assistant, 200h hospital volunteer (regular and childrens hospital, ongoing)
research: 400h, breast cancer wet lab, no pubs (yet?), ongoing
shadowing: 50h peds + primary care + breast specialist
non-clinical: 50h foundation to prevent domestic violence, 10h children's advocacy, 300+h making/selling art for various charities (helping children focused)
other ecs:
- early childhood educator 1000h
- small art business (idk how to quantify since i work on this every day, over 3,000 clay pieces sold over 4 years)
- instructor at science camp for high schoolers, 60h

i'm worried about my low gpa and would like help creating a school list. my goal is eventually to go into pediatrics, ob/gyn, or neonatology. my story is focused on women's/children's health and health education especially as it relates to the south asian community
so far i am planning to apply to all the texas md and do programs, i'm not sure what oos schools to apply to since msar is quite discouraging due to my gpa. i'm not sure what exactly to look for when choosing a school since i don't fit all the criteria for any of them.
