- Research: 1 semester in nutrition research lab (mostly helping out senior student); 1 semester in food allergy epidemiology/public health with poster presentation; 2 semesters of perinatal healthcare systems and access with poster presentation; 2 semesters of nutrition policy and clinical intervention at food bank with poster presentation
- Shadowing: 4 family practice, radiologist, pediatrician, hospitalist, 2 podiatrists, 2 PAs, 2 FNPs, dentist, optometrist
- Non-clinical volunteering: Long term mentor, every year during college, for an adolescent with disabilities (80+ hours); adaptive skiing program/therapeutic rec. organization (70+ hours); Alzheimer’s Association (20+ hours); food insecurity organizations (50+ hours)
- Other extracurricular activities/work: Resident Advisor for 3 semesters; group home aide for people with developmental disabilities; internship with university office of health advancement; sports nutrition internship with D1 athletics department; multiple fraternity leadership positions and national opportunities; co-chair of the student health advisory committee, public policy leadership conference and course at Harvard, rural and public health conference, treasurer for pre-health honor society
