What is the right # of schools to apply too? Would it be worth applying to Texas schools?

You have a good list and should receive several interviews. The Texas schools accept few non residents with your MCAT score. You could remove Kansas, Virginia Tech, OHSU, Buffalo since they accept few residents with your MCAT and no connections to the state.

Are you interested in rural health? Have you talked to program directors for the NHSC? what is your BCMP GPA (hard sciences)?

Sent from my SM-N960U using SDN mobile

My sGPA will be 3.71 if my classes this semester stay where they are. Could be a little higher since some of my metabolism classes under nutrition may count as biochem (biochem majors also take them). Yes, I am very interested in rural health/IHS/underserved areas. I have not talked to anyone about NHSC... is this something I should do before getting into med school?
