Thank you for your reply! I’m curious as to why not MSU? I have a lot of family from Michigan and have visited regularly throughout my life. Is that enough of a connection to the state?

That is usually not really a strong tie.

Not for the purpose of medical school admissions. If you grew up and graduated from high school in Michigan or attended MSU undergraduate school then that would be a strong connection.
