For medical schools, I’m more interested in social justice//community service schools. I do hope to stay in the Midwest if possible! This is my very rough draft of an MD list, but with my stats, I am open to DO too (although I haven’t researched these schools in depth yet). Please let me know of your guys’ recommendations and thank you for your time!

You should not be pursuing research and instead continue getting hours at the homeless shelter over the next month, especially if you are trying for schools like Loyola (which expects hundreds of hours in activities similar to helping at local shelters, food banks etc).

You clinical hours are more than enough. Leave off the virtual shadowing.

When you get your MCAT score, let us know so we can make a list then for you.

volunteering with BIPOC youth- led them through creative writing assignments and supervised during field trips
So I'm a bit unsure how you categorize this activity because this sounds like a teaching assistant. This goes under tutoring or teaching. You are left with 42 hours of shelter work, which is below the traditional threshold of 150 hours of nonclinical volunteering to avoid being eliminated during most schools' screening. You should have set aside more time for this in your growth years. Getting to interview means getting much more than 150 hours.

Let us know when your scores are reported.
