Hey guys, I am a Kentucky residence at a small liberal arts college. However, I am considering a transfer for family reasons. I will be applying in 2020, but it is never too early to be thinking about these things. I have a 4.00 GPA so far. I know it will be hard to keep, but I am striving to keep it high as possible. I have not taken the MCAT yet, but I plan to after next school year. I have shadowed DO’s and MD’s for a total of about 60 hours so far, and I have volunteered at the animal shelter and homeless shelter for about a combined 80 hours so far. I only have in-state schools or schools in close proximity of KY so far. As of now, I am considering University of Kentucky, U of Louisville, KYCOM-Pikeville, and LMU-DCOM. Can anyone suggest some schools I should consider? I know it will be hard to gauge my chances right now without an MCAT, but I need to know if I am on the right track. Also, will transferring undergrad institutions affect my chances anywhere? Thank you guys! I am excited to see your responses.

You also need to accumulate 200+ hours of clinical volunteering with patient contact. Without an actual MCAT score it is not possible to give you a reliable list of schools to apply to.

I appreciate your input anyways!
