Hello all.

I am very happy that I got 4 II so far.
Assuming I interview decently or if all interviewees had the same odds, what's my chance at getting just one A?

I know I am fortunate to have 4 IIs, but I am neurotic and keep think It's unlikely I won't get in anywhere.

For stats nerds: If you have a 1/3 chance of acceptance at 4 schools, then an introductory stats class tells us the probability of at least 1 acceptance is 1-(1 - 1/3)^4 = 80%.

Given qualitative info about your performance, you can adjust this figure to make some guesstimates. For instance if you interview badly, then you might estimate a 1/20 chance at each of 4 schools = 19% total. But at this point you may as well turn to your *actual* performance to make a judgment call and stop thinking in terms of probabilities...
