A short intro about you, where you are from, any previous application results, the school/s you are interested in, your current career interests.
I'm a 23f from florida, basically decided after graduating college i want to go to vet school (after wanting to for years but strict eastern european mom saying no as it's "not prestigious"), fall 2025 will be my first application cycle, scrambling trying to catch up, looking for job as vet assistant DESPERATELY. mainly applying international to up my chances. is it possible to get in first try? if all goes to plan and i get my vet hours up? especially since i am not banking on getting into the us?
schools i am interested in: UF (my in-state school and alma mater, top choice), MSU, UC davis, edinburgh, dublin, rvc, bristol, sydney, massey
Cumulative GPA: 3.799
science GPA: ~3.59
last 45: 4.0
i have one medical drop from having long covid (will explain in explanation statement, then went on to get an A), and initially 1 c and 2 c+, i retook the 2 c's and got A's, also took pre-reqs i never took before. these retakes and pre-req catch ups were taken at a local small name university near me as a non-degree student.
Any degrees achieved
B.S. biochemistry from the University of Florida
B.A. french from the University of Florida
i was also dual enrolled in high school full time for 2 years at a university in an accelerated program, so i went to college at 16
