Medical WAMC with 499 MCAT?

Hello,

I need help deciding whether or not I can apply to medical school. cGPA: 3.45 sGPA: 3.5 MCAT: 499
Strong extracurriculars and leadership skills. Strong personal statement approved of by many advisors and a minority. Taking a gap year to earn an accelerated one-year MPH (for reasons mentioned in my personal statement, i.e not to get into medical school). What would be my chances of getting into MD and/or DO?

IMO decent for DO. Allopathic needs a higher MCAT for security.

Reject at my DO school and a fair number of others. Retake the exam and then apply

NEED to retake the MCAT for MD/DO.

GPA good for DO, but low for MD.

Retake your MCAT. Below 500 will get your rejected from all MD schools and certainly almost all DO schools.
