With your GPA you’re gonna need to add on at least 5-6 more schools, mostly privates. Your list is sorta all over the country, any reason for these schools specifically?

I’d recommend adding Creighton, Case Western, Touro, Marquette, NYU(last resort), and maybe Nova or LECOM.

And apply as early as you possibly can.

have you attended events/volunteered/shadowed at UMarylandSOD?
you are going to need to apply to a lot more schools (especially privates) due to your low BCP and sGPA...

Thank you and I've seen these schools have lower accepted GPAs which I feel is the major set back of my application and the main reason I have them on my list.

I have attended some events with UMSOD as our predental club has been working with them.

does your gpa have an upward trend?
what do you feel makes you stand out as a candidate?

Slight upward trend but nothing crazy. I feel as manual dexterity skills and knowledge of running a successful practice are my biggest strengths. I’ve worked my way up from an intern scrubbing the walls to dental assistant helping with everything in the office and have definitely seen the good and bad of a private practice.

While having good manual dexterity and knowledge about how to run a practice is beneficial (you could talk bout that in your interviews however, and mention it on your experiences sections in AADSAS), but that isn't what will ultimately get you into dental school but it might help open the door. Your grades and DAT are, plus ECs and LORs and other factors. With your GPA it will make it difficult. What kind of upward trend? You may benefit from a post-bacc to bring up your sGPA and BCP GPA depending on how many credits you already have. A master's program could also be beneficial. Ultimately how you decide to apply is up to you, but tackling a post-bacc or master's and doing well could save you hundreds of thousands by getting you into a state school instead of a highly expensive private school. Which could be the difference of ~$350k in loans vs. ~$500-600k.
