Anyone have the link to an essay written by some guy about Greek mythology I think? Its hilarious, and the guy got a C- on it I think.
I think there was once a website dedicated to this stuff, of submitting hilarious course work.

It says "Find X." Not "find the value of X." A girl in my high school did the same but she got an F cuz my teacher was mean. I got points off for writing "are" instead of "is."

that is crap, the teacher need to get a sense of humor, most of the profs at ROCH would be like cool, technically the person "Found X".

yea, and see the riot that ensues when the anal kids in class (read: premeds) found out that circling x received as much credit as actually doing the work

the point of the test is clearly to see if you know how to calculate the value of x, not to do the minimum explicitly required by the wording of the question

if you choose not to follow the spirit of the test, you are forfeiting the points

lol hahaha, well i think it is, i am by no means bad at math as I have a math major with decent grade. haha, one of my homeworks i cursed the TA out made one small mistake, so he still gave me a 90/100, but it pissing him off was well worth that 10 points.

Someone sent this to me my first year of college. I'm pretty sure that this is the only thing that has kept me from going into angry "Hulk smash" mode throughout the ridiculousness that is pre-med studies. Every time I look at it I giggle for hours.

there's a similar funny essay out there about horned owls or barn owls or whatever... something to do with their extinction or endangerment. i cant find it through google. anyone else know what im talking about?

the point is most profs are actually quite fun and will let comments as such slide once, but if it is a recuring event haha just beware.

what are you talking about? none of my dozen math profs would let it slide, and i wouldn't want them too...screw the person getting equal points if they don't know how to do the problem

my math profs have been very fair, and here that means rewarding those who can do, and punishing those who can't, then grading on the aggregation

Off topic, but check out this youtube.com video on competition. Fast forward to 2:12. Does this conversation remind you of an exchange you've ever had with another premed?

Me neither.
