Hello!

Because I am eternally enslaved to the MCAT gods, I and two others over at /r/MCAT are embarking on an adventure that involves creating an interactive, expanded AAMC outline for all knowledge-based sections of the MCAT (except for the Psych/Socio section, which MedSchoolTutors has covered)

The plan is to--for each bullet point on the AAMC outline--include relevant chapters/page numbers for each prep book and an open-source textbook, visualizations when appropriate, the relevant Khan video, and any other helpful online sources (e.g. the sporcle quiz for amino acids).

Right now we have the Kaplan, TBR, EK, and TPR book sets covered. We would definitely appreciate having someone do the same with NextStep's books, if possible.

If you're interested in helping out in any other capacity, please let me know! 🙂 I will need your email (which you can PM me) so that I can add you to the Google Doc and for ease of communication.

There's something similar to this at a site called premedhq

I'm on mobile so I don't have the website readily available but google should be of some help.

Yeah, there are a few sites like this, but we're doing something a little different.

Not that I'll be able to benefit from it by the time you guys finish something as extensive as that but if you could try to make it easier to learn from that would be great! I tried originally to use the premedhq site as my primary resource but the material definitely isn't welcoming to learn as a stand alone.

Well, we're not trying to be a substitute for content review, we're just trying to make it easier for people to find resources for what's on the outline. So for example, a student is working on enzyme inhibition. That section in our expanded outline will give a brief intro to the topic, have a chart comparing Km and Vmax values for the various inhibitors (for example), say where they can find that topic in their prep videos, what Khan video they could watch, and what extra online resources they could use to learn the material (Khan passages, sporcle quizzes, etc). Hopefully this will still be helpful!

I can help out as much as I can, too!

Yeah? If you want to help, just PM me your email! Gmail is preferred but any will do.
