I just wanted to tell you all about my horrible experience with Prometric testing Centers so that none of you have to go though the crap I did this past week. I had postponed my test using the prometric website with my ID number (month before my test date) so the weekend before I was supposed to take my test I checked online to reconfirm and it showed my PAST DATE!!! I was POSITIVE I had changed my date, thats why I was so confused when I found this out but I didnt print anything out and wasnt sent an email so I didnt have proof. I had however went back into the website after I had changed my date and it did show the correct one a few days after I had changed it
. So I totally panicked, I had studied so much the week before, mentally prepared and now this had to happen. Since it was a Saturday evening there wasnt much I could do til Monday when I could call in a see what had happened so thats just what I did. I wasnt sure if I had to take it still so I continued to study all weekend.
So Monday I called in and told them my situation (both prometric and ADA) and they both tried to blame the mistake on each other, I was pissed off to say the least. I was told I had to repay the fee and sign up to take the DAT again in my area. SO, I hesitantly registered to take the DAT and was told I would be processed on Tuesday because they only do it once a week and I could register with prometric later on in the evening total lie. So I called back on Tuesday, Wednesday and it wasnt until Thursday that I could actually set up a day/time and then I had a really difficult time finding an opening the next week to take the test. I totally lucked out, got a spot for the following Monday and so I took the test yesterday.
The moral of the story kids is to CHECK, RECHECK, and CALL to make sure your testing date has been changed in the system. As soon I had registered I kept calling in day after day just to be sure, haha. Then I went online and printed out my conformation just to be sure my date was set. I just dont want anyone to have to repay to take the test. Thankfully I was happy with my scores but I will never have to take it again. Good luck to all that still have to take it.
