Hello,

To all those who took the step 1 was the strategy of using FA + RR Path + Phys + UWorld enough? I am getting mixed signals from some of our professors and the 3 years in our school so I wanted to make sure nothing has majorly changed on the test that I might be missing. Any help from the men and women who have gone where no second year has gone before would be very appreciated.

I think it's enough. I used that formula, but instead of phys used Lippincott.

I think having too many sources will tank you. I also am of the camp that thinks that if you can keep yourself motivated and organized, you don't need to plop down oodles of cash for a review course.

I like your philosophy and God how I miss space ghost!!!! Your avatar reminded me of that.

Any thoughts on reviewing biochem, micro, and anatomy? There seems to be very little anatomy in FA.

How could you add more than that and learn it well enough? At the end of the day, it's about memorizing first aid. If you haven't done that then all the other sources aren't going to be useful.

In general, I've been using other sources just to supplement my understanding of what was in FA. For instance, if your school didn't really emphasize immuno in its curriculum, you may find that much of what's in the FA immuno chapter doesn't make sense. Thus, I found Levinson very helpful for filling in the gaps so I could understand that chapter fully.

In general, however, FA+UWorld+Goljan RR should certainly be adequate to pass (and how many people on this board have aced Step 1 using only these 3 materials?)
