Hi guys/gals, just recently took the step 2 CS and forgot to wash hands/put on gloves for 3-4 of the patients. 🙁 The other 8-9 patients I did put on gloves/wash hands after I remembered. Just had a brainfart those times; I didn't have my morning coffee due to bladder issues...TMI I know. 😛

Please tell me that they just dock some points from the encounter that doesn't result in a poor outcome.

Need some encouragement or whatever. 🙂

I think that they just dock points. One of my friends was freaking out after she had taken the test in Philadelphia. She said that she forgot to wash her hands 2 or 3 times and forgot to drape someone else. She passed! On my first patient encounter, I spent too much time obtaining a history and basically had no time to do much of a physical exam and I came out okay! Good luck!

Will you be my friend? 🙂 Those are the best words a stranger could say!

I just wanted to bring this thread back to clarify--most infectious disease control guidelines demand that you wash hands and THEN put on gloves--for CS, we can just wash hands and examine patients without any gloves?
