Congratulations to everyone who was accepted to UW so far! I'll be starting in September too, and I'm looking for roommates. I've lived in Waterloo for 4 years now, so I have a good idea of what's close by and what a decent student house looks like. PM or email me if you're looking for somewhere to live!

In previous years the orientation packages have some sort of housing info and help on finding roommates. The package usually gets sent out soon after you accept the offer to attend UW.

I am from BC and just received an acceptance email to UW. I'll be looking for a room/roommates soon (but will wait to get my letter in the mail). I'm hoping to find something without making an extra trip to Ontario!

Yes, the first email I received from them had a link to the off-campus housing website, but I was hoping to find some other optometry students to live with. I think it would be easier to share a house with students with a similar work load, and the website doesn't really have anything optometry-specific.

There will be something optometry-specific in the orientation package. Don't worry.

I sent you a PM but thought i would post one on here to address you and anyone else looking for a place in waterloo. I will be starting first year optometry this september. I am from BC and I don't know anyone out there. If anyone is looking for a roomie let me know.
