Hey everyone!

I just took my first diagnostic yesterday and did okay I guess (B:8, V:6, P:6). But I just realized how behind I am because I AP'ed out a lot of the classes that would have helped me on the MCAT and have never taken Physics II. I'm currently taking a TPR course and was thinking about supplementing it with the EK books. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to raise my scores but I'm not quite sure what to do. 😛 Do you guys think I should read my physics textbook and learn the info on my own or should I just concentrate on the MCAT prep materials and rely on the teacher?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

The more class time you have the better, I think. I would rely on a teacher if one is available, or create an independent study course.

Neither, you should buy Examkrackers or some other materials and do a self-indepth study of these concepts.

And instead of doing textbook problems you should do MCAT based problems of the learnings you just did. Buy the 1001 Physics, Chemistry, Biological, and Organic books. Read a chapter, do the problems, review the ones you got wrong and keep going....

Btw, AP credit doesn't count towards AAMC- they want you to take the classes or higher level ones to have replaced it.

Thanks for the tips everyone! I just bought the EK set from B&N (too bad it's gonna take two weeks to come in). Man good thing I found about the AP credits now. I've taken two upper division bio classes so hopefully that helps. We don't have to take additional English classes as well do we? That would be a pain..
