I'm currently deciding between Wayne State and Drexel and I thought it would be good to get some feedback from some current students if possible--thoughts on the school (good and bad), if you're happy there, if you might've chosen differently, or any other factors to consider. Anything you guys have to say would definitely be helpful and I would really appreciate it!! 🙂

are you from PA or MI? I would make my decision pretty much based on where is cheapest. Drexel was one of the out of state schools that I was accepted to last year, but I chose wayne mainly for the cheaper tuition (i am a MI resident)and clinical education. Wayne's the largest medical school in the country and has a ton of hospitals for their students that they do not have to share with any other medical schools. It has the huge poor, underserved population of detroit as it's patient base... you will see and do everything. However... it's in detroit. But, I have actually found detroit to be a lot better than I thought it would be and have a had a lot of fun and made some good friends. Any other Q's, feel free to PM me. Good luck....

Didn't you post this in the pre-allo forum as well? It seems that you joined SDN for the sole purpose of asking students which school you should go to (Wayen State, Drexel, MSU, etc.). The choice is very personal and you should make your own decision. Neither school will really give you an advantage in terms of residency programs. Just do good in medical school (grades, boards, research, letter of rec, etc.).

Sorry if I gave you that impression--I completely realize it is a personal decision but I also do believe that it should be an informed decision, which is why I thought that asking other students about their experiences at the schools would be helpful in making the decision.
