I’m a medical student deciding between Interventional Radiology and Anesthesiology with a Pain Medicine fellowship. For those with experience in either path, how do these careers compare long-term in terms of lifestyle, autonomy, compensation, and job satisfaction? Looking back, what do you wish you had known before choosing?

Do you want to be a rad or gas doc? IR probably gives yoiu a greater variety of procedures to offer, but the training is longer (7 vs 5)
