While I realize I don't post on here often... in fact I only really post in direct response to questions about my school because PT school keeps me crazy busy, but I do read on here all the time.

I think something necessary to this discussion board is some FAQs that new users should read prior to posting anything.

For instance:

1) Do I have a chance?
---Yes, everyone has a chance. It all depends on the strength of the different components of your application

2) What are interviews like?

3) How do you pay for it all?

And then we could address different aspects of the application process that tend to be beaten to death on the boards.

Who's with me?

Agreed. There are a few too many of the "do I have a chance" posts on here.

That's the point of the GRE/GPA/Acceptances Sticky thread...unfortunately I don't think everyone realizes that. Even if we make a FAQ thread though it won't stop people from creating new "what are my chances" threads...they're inevitable :/

No, it probably wouldn't stop the incessant posting, but it would be a nice way to compile all the wisdom of the people on the boards!

haha, too true! That's not something I can argue with. *Especially* since I applied with a less than stellar GPA and created a thread after a got into several schools about how there's hope for everyone and how to make the rest of your application really stand out!
