We should protest this pharmacy school scam too!

Anyone try those plant based meat products yet? Like, Beyond Burger, etc...

I had it once, and Impossible Burger once, and it was pretty tasty.

I've had both the impossible burger and beyond burger. Not head-to-head though, so I'm having a hard time thinking which one was better. Both were pretty good, and were some of the juiciest veggie burgers I've ever had. Would eat again.

University of Tennessee Health Science Center (Pharmacy school) now only requires a C- average for pre-reqs, and the PCAT is no longer required. Just when you think our profession couldn't roll downhill any faster. We're now closer to the speed of light than ever... so lets start protesting this? This is degrading our profession, while letting in the worst students possible just to fill seats.

I never understood the idea that the PCAT was not required by all ACPE accredited pharmacy schools as a condition of accreditation. Is there some bad blood between AACP and ACPE or something?

Ugh, why even bother? It is going to take 100x as long to prepare and won't be as good. Sorry, not sorry.
my fraternity's cook made her own ravioli - it was fricking delicious - and she cooked for like 50 guys at a time.

There's now a game show which will pay off student loans. What's the over/under on how many pharmDs will be on the first season?

I hate to think what the porn industry has in the pipeline.

These organization exist to grow schools like weeds so they can increase their own revenue. Talk about an interesting form!

All this passive aggressive food banter isn't off-topic in an askew sense. Seeing that pharmacy schools simply took the template of the culinary school scam and scaled it to Enronic proportions.

Not sure if it's true. I hear some schools are waiving the 5 year expiration on prereq classes to boost admissions. You too can get admitted to pharmacy school having been out of school for 5 plus years!

At least you’ll have a useful skill at the end...you gotta admit, unless you’re into herbology and can compound using readily available raw materials, being a modern day pharmacist is pretty useless outside of your workplace.

Add in some hunting skills (preferably with a bow and arrow) and you’re golden.

Some roaming bandits will find you useful enough to not behead you in the post Pax Americana era.

People in Hawaii put it mostly on fruit and candy. Oranges, pineapples, mango and gummy bears are all popular choices. I’ve also heard it makes a good vanilla ice cream topping and margarita rim coating.

A hard dose of brutal truth. 93% is the government lending? WTF! And 200 something billion per annum? WTF!
When these defaults are recognized don't be shocked if we run a 2-3 Trillion deficit. The loans are treated as assets so they don't show up in the annual deficit numbers, but when the defaults have to be recognized...

This isn't news. The US government has been borrowing money from Japan and China for decades. The US can't control their spending. The Chinese are using this leverage of owed money to buy up hundreds of US company and farmland. In 100 years China will own more than 50% of US farmland and corporations.

Is it a surprised that a government that can't control it's money or spending will wantonly loan out tons of money to students for "education"? The student loan default rate has been rising the last few years. Once it gets too high the government will stop loans all together.

This kills the US college system.

I know of schools waiving more than this to get more students.... :/

One sex workers become legal in every state in the US, CVS could start a whole new brand of promos.

"get a vaccine and a free oral sex, please pull up to lane three to recieve your oral sex event"
Guess who will be responsible for performing the oral sex when the drive through tech is busy....

:/

I think the Fed will end up gobbling up this paper first, either above board or under the table on a cryptic balance sheet. remeber helicopter money is still to come. They will do whatever they can to keep the college town ecosystems alive like that 1.5T the past decade has done.

What will pop the college bubble is the lack of balance sheet capacity of the public and the realization that college is a waste of time. Recent enrollment figures indicate this has begun.

Yes the damage has been done the schools have almost double from 1979. The "provider status" never materialized. Grads now are facing a real unemployment rate of 20% when you take into effect floating positions and parttime hours. I expect this to get much worse in the next few years due to the lag rate of it taking 6 years once entering school to hit the job market. The job market can only support 10,000 grads a year. We are at what? 14,000 new grads a year + international pharmacists? that is 5,000 unemployed new grads a year with most of them having 100,000 USD loans.

Hopefully they can at least work at Mcdonalds and do IBR earning10 bucks an hour. Our pharmacy education might help them when suggesting different coffee blends to the McCustomer. Hello Sir, that Harvest blend has 45 mg of caffeine in it. Please don't take it with your Adderall prescription.

If anyone decided to actually study pharmacy to earn a living they are going to be in for quite a shock when the University snake oil losses it's effect.
