Hey fellow sdners,
I have an opinion related scenario in which I would greatly appreciate any feedback. I have been very fortunate in receiving an interview invite, and want to make the best impression (obviously). I recently had an ACL reconstruction surgery and Meniscus repair. Part of the recovery requires my leg to be fully extended and locked in place within a brace. It has been a month now, and I want to know what you think of the following:
If I have an interview I can schedule it mid/late September and still be in my brace but it will be unlocked by then, therefore allowing my knee to bend a little. The brace gives me support. However does the brace you think hinder or affect my interview in a negative view. Would the interviewer look poorly on the brace and think it is a permanent fixture? I may not be able or find a way to explain it and I dont want it to be the center of attention. The brace will be worn on-top of the suit 🙁
On the other hand if I interview mid October my brace will be off, however I cannot guarantee a walk without a limp. Does that look worse if I am walking with a limp? I could be walking great by then, but I am not sure.
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. If I did a horrible job of explaining the situation I will try to explain more. In essence, do you believe going to an interview in a brace will hurt my chances?
THANK YOU AND GOOD DAY
