I'm looking for this website that I found a long time ago where you can plug in your stats (MCAT, gpa) and it'll basically tell you how competitive you are at all the med schools. Anyone have the link to this site? Thanks.

Neither of those things make any sense to me. I was typing in mock stats and the results just made no sense. Some were testing competitive for Boston College and Harvard but not for any DO, and on the first link given (the student doc one) it puts these weird negative numbers next to each school that I didn't understand. I don't understand how those things work. (disclaimer, I didn't type in my actual stats bc my gpa is continually increasing, but not where I want it yet, and I haven't taken the mcat).

hey guys, don't get too wrapped up in stats. I didn't even get close and I am starting my 2nd yr on mon. I have friends that scored way off the chart and didn't get in so....here's a basic rule of thumb. the lower your scores, the more broadly you need to apply. it may costs you a bunch of $$ now, and it may not be the "dream school" but it'll be cheaper than having to reapply and wait another year. I used USN&WR, plotted where I fit in on the list of gpa, mcat. and started going down the list. scratched off "in state only" and lecture based schools (I wanted PBL) and went from there. applying is a long, drawn out process. make binder, keep records of what/where you sent, keep receipts for tax write offs (either you or your parents), most of all, keep occupied while you're waiting...it's an endurance race. good luck 👍
