It’s a shell game at best. The ‘Merican lifestyle will find a way. Cancer isn’t going anywhere. FFS, we have cancer preventing vaccines we don’t even use.
 
Would wonder about etoh related cancers as well, given that there seems to be some signals with decreasing addiction.
 
Yep. Then they’ll live long enough to get a non obesity-related cancer. It’s the emperor of all maladies for a reason.

More prostate cancer for men.

Incidentally we seem awfully barbaric about screening and cutoffs. For example, cutting off psa screening at age 70. We all know a lot of 70 year olds that would never make it to die of prostate cancer, and plenty of 78 years olds who could. We have the data. An AI could easily scrape a patient's chart, plug their info into insurance actuarial tables, and generate an expected life expectancy with appropriate screening recommendations.
