Hi there all you surgery guys and gals... I have a weird question...

Is it recommended you eat ice cream after having your tonsils removed? I am meaning during your recovery time.

I was told NO ICE CREAM.. but have things changed? or is it a case by case?

ignore the snippy remark above, he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. here's a link for you: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003013.htm. ice cream is fine postop and can alleviate pain. unless there is a specific reason why your ORL said no ice cream, it should be fine. i'd ask him/her just to make sure.
