Technically, they would have used central standard time. But everyone knows the world revolves around NYC.

Technically if we account for the leap years and daylight savings time that we use but the mayans never did we could be almost a decade off of the REAL 2012! The LEGEND of the end of the world CONTINUES! (in the mind of the delusional).
