For those of you who took Berkeley review exams, were they accurate in predicting your actual score on the MCAT?

Im pulling 11's right now (and sometimes 12/13 in verbal) in TBR but dont want to be on cloud nine then fall flat on my face come test day! have the kaplan book but havent done their tests yet (heard theyre harder).

dont use them for indicators, just practice. AAMC should be your best bet for indication.

Paper version or CBT version? For the CBT, we have gone to some extreme measures to compare student reported actual MCAT scores to their BR CBT scores and have modified the scales accordingly. The scaled scores on our practice exams average out to be right on the mark, so you should feel pretty good. If it's the paper version, it varies with the exam itself.

And I tend to agree with the previous poster that your average AAMC exam score is about a good a predictor as there is.

this is an old post, but addresses something that i've been wondering. given that TBR has seemingly become more widely used since 2008, i am wondering what others have experienced re: actual MCAT score vs. average TBR CBT score.

i've already used all my AAMCs (this is now my second time studying for the test) so i'm focusing only on TBR CBTs, hence why im interested in their accuracy in predicting actual scores.

Yup. That was how my experience with TBR CBTs were:

PS: Add a point to TBR score to get AAMC.
VR: Usually scored about a point higher than AAMC.
BS: About the same, maybe a point lower than AAMC.

All in all the TBR CBTs were pretty accurate for me, except for one outlier. I can't remember which test it was (3 or 4?), that I totally bombed and it kind of freaked me out. I would generally destroy the PS sections on the AAMCs, but I was never able to max out on PS for TBR. The PS sections on the TBR CBTs are gold, albeit tough.

maybe/hopefully you're talking about TBR 3... i took it yesterday and freaked out, hence why i dug up this thread because i had been doing incrementally better on each TBR-- TBR1: 31, TBR 2: 36-- but on TBR 3 i scored a PS: 13, VB: 9, BS: 10 which is embarrassing considering TBR verbal is supposedly easy... hopefully things turn out better than that breakdown...

I feel that BR is way tougher than AaMC.
