I've heard someone got rejected off the alternate this week. Not sure why so early though. I thought they would keep the waitlist until the end.

hmm ya thats odd cuz i thought that no one will be rejected from the wait list until after school starts

Hello,

I just received a letter yesterday saying I was not selected for Fall 2008 admissions. I was on the alternate list. Luckily, I am going to Touro, and I am still on the waitlist at another school, but I was surprised they rejected me so early. I thought the waitlist was open until August. Perhaps it's because I haven't sent them my winter/spring grades yet?? They should be on their way! Anyway, I may call admissions next week to get info. No worries, though. Good luck to everyone else!

You know, i might be way wrong but I believe I have read sometimes ago in SDN that touro and western might have some sort of a connection because dr. knapp used to be at western. They kind of know who is going to what school.

Thanks for the information. Could you tell me what is the date of your letter? I should prepare myself for that letter, too. Anyway, I am now calm a little bit as a result of the long waiting..

Hi, please ask Western and let us know the reasons if you don't mind. I don't think it is because of your Touro's acceptance. May be you did very well at Touro interview v/s at WU.

I asked, and the lady said that they had "a large waitlist pool" and that "your status can change at any time". Those were the only two reasons she would give me.

There is no way to predict what will happen and what my chance is. I apply to only one school.

I don't think it's the Touro aspect that made the difference. I was accepted at Touro as well and am still on the Western Alternate list (as far as I know). Still hoping.

Have you started your application for next year??? I am doing that but in very slow speed. Waiting is killing me.
