I noticed that Naturopathic Doctors are not represented at all on SDN. Can they get some representation? I even know someone that grad as an ND and they are really smart, practices as an ND and even does certain procedures.
There are about 7 accredited schools in the US. However there are a lot of unaccredited schools and online ND schools. If one has a degree from an unaccredited school, they cannot officially get licensed in certain states that allow ND's to practice. The numbers of states that allow ND's to practice from accredited schools are growing.
I am an MD and I personally want to get my ND just to know about herbal medicine, etc. but I can only do an online course because I cannot move to these accredited schools, plus it is much cheaper. I wanted to do it just for the knowledge and not to really put it into practice. Is that okay? or would it make me look shady?
