What all should I include in statement of motivation for optometry?

I am having trouble getting anywhere near 4500 characters, at about 2,000 right now.

Are you sure you're looking at characters and not word count?

I had about 780 words which came out to 2 pages and I felt it wasn't enough lol. I talked about my interest in science in high school, and my experiences, my personal life how that impacted my decision for optometry, and what I hoped for the future as an optometrist.
