Wondering what predental students are hearing from their advisors regarding the field as a whole? Are they talking about the costs of going to dental school?

Yeah, its usually pretty immediate that they tell you the costs. They just dont talk much about the salary or the financial history of the career.

I don't speak for all advisors, but depending on where the advisors are housed, we focus on the grades and skills. Those with training as career advisors will point out salary figures from the BLS. There is recognition that cost of attendance for dental school is concerning, and there are often sessions on financing dental school education at the main recruitment fairs such as ADEA's.
